The Cuisine
Food does not have to be fussy and Nick along with his team have a reputation for producing simple, delicious cuisine using only the freshest ingredients. The cuisine leans towards Italian with fresh pasta made daily on the premises, proscuittio, olive oil and parmesan imported from Italy and local fish delivered fresh each day. 

The Venue
Set on a corner site in a stunning old building and a deck with fantastic views of Lyttelton, Freemans is the place you come to for total relaxation with your dining experience. The inside dining room seats 45-50 people and you will relax in comfort on bonquet and booth style seating. The outside deck is the place to go for a casual drink, a bite to eat in the warm sun or start your day with our fabulous underground coffee on a Saturday morning!

The Gastro Club

Join our Gastro Club for up to date information e mailed to you about what we are up to at Freemans. As part of our Gastro Club you will be rewarded for your loyalty, with vouchers for complimentary food and beverages when you dine with us and you will also receive a free main meal when you dine with a party of 4 or more on your birthday.

Summer on THE DECK at Freemans

The colder months are behind us and it is time for our guests to experience long lazy lunches and dinners in the sun.  Our deck is the place to go for total relaxation, while enjoying the spectacular views of Lyttelton.  Our wine list now hosts some beautiful aromatics and the team are on a mission to find the perfect summer wines.  The menu has made room for a stunning Caeser salad and yes asparagus is here too!  So whether you fill like a dinner for two or just a few drinks in the sun, Freemans is the place to go!
